a cold but colorful day

I had to turn my heater on yesterday! What?!? Its June! It feels like fall here with the cool temperatures and lots of rain. We had to cancel a trip to the zoo today. The kids can't play in our huge new sandbox that Dave built. No swimming. I hate the heat but this is even a bit much for me. Another reason (besides a vacation sans children) to be jealous of my friend, Brooke, who is off to Hawaii with her hubby.

However, because its cold, my brother is stuck working indoors instead of out. Which means...I am getting another room painted. I am painting my study/piano room. Its green again but definitely not lime. So color me happy. I love paint!


Every room I paint makes the current color of the main level look more bland. Its a very washed out sage green. I really don't like it. I am hoping to get the kitchen, living room and family room painted before the end of the summer.

Emma is having a sleepover with her cousin tonight. They think they are going to stay up all night. Ha!
