desperately seeking spring

We simply ignored the cold wind and pretended it was nice outside today.

I can't keep Sawyer out of the street. He just sees it as an extension of our yard. He pushes his lawnmower down the middle of the street, chases balls up and down the gutter and stays completely oblivious of any danger. In fact, he was out in the street when a car was approaching from one end and a school bus from the other. Instead of running towards the sidewalk, he simply stood still in the middle of the road and started waving at the bus. Obviously, there is some teaching that needs to be done. Oh, that will be fun!

Nah, just let him learn it through natural consequences. A couple of hits and he'll be well-trained.
The tulips are gorgeous!

Hyrum likes to mow the road as well. It makes it really hard to do any weeding in the front yard with him outside. At least we live on a quiet cul-de-sac.

My little guy does the same thing. You'd think it would instill a little fear to see a large vehicle coming at you??!

Hey you guys have the same trike that we do! The road must be something for the age...Brenner does it too. Wayne made the mistake the other night of asking Paker (who is 5) to watch Brenner while he went into the backyard for something. He came back to find Brenner in the middle of the road and Parker on the side of the road following rules about not going in the road. We're thankful for quiet neighborhood streets.

Your red photo at the top coordinates so well with your blog header, looks great.
I live on a dead end, so my kids have never learned any respect for cars/roads and the like.
