Our caterpillars grew and grew. Then they climbed to the top of their jar and formed their chrysalides. There are 9. We only lost one caterpillar. We transferred them into the butterfly pavilion where they should hatch in the next few days.
Hey, Lin. We did this in preschool, and it was really cool. I'm glad you're doing it with your kids, too. I didn't like the mealworms nearly so much, and am rather glad that all but one of them died...I sure hope I don't meet them in heaven!

And how long 'til the butterflies get to fly free? That will be a sad day, but not for the butterflies.
