discovery museum

Monday morning, while Michael painted, we headed to the Gateway children's museum with a homeschool group fieldtrip.

They have a new Sesame Street exhibit about the body. Nathan did not want to go in until the staffer told him that there was a poop machine in there. Of course that got him excited. Boys!

Favorites:
Sawyer--balls and water
Nathan--helicopter
Slade--building tables
Emma--intercom system by helicopter (she had a great time yelling such things as "You're under attack!")

How fun! One of my biggest concerns with homeschooling is ensuring that kids get an optimal amount of social interaction. It's nice to know that, should I choose that path, there are a wealth of resources and opportunities to include that component in their study. You are supermom!

So did the poop machine help you and him in your toilet training efforts? If so, I should plan a trip there for Roderic.

My kids love the children's museum, too. We'll have to check out the new exhibit sometime- I'm pretty sure that just about anything to do with bodily functions will be funny to my big boys. . .
