This article in the Washington Post is about what happens when you put a world famous concert violinist in the Metro. Do people stop? Do people recognize the genius? Do people throw money in his multi-million-dollar-Stradivarius-carrying case? It's a long article but very interesting.

I hope Stanton wasn't one of the "passerbys" That was so interesting. Thanks for sharing
How did you find that article? I am not surprised at all at the folks' reaction, but was very interested in the WP's analysis of why what happened (or didn't) happened. I wonder what I would have done. Makes me think of all the street musicians I've heard, and the ones that I've actually stopped and listened to.
I have to say, that the article touched me more than I can probably put down in words. Maybe its the pregnancy tears, but I am so saddened at the thought that I might not stop, worse that I might not let my children stop, and listen to beauty. As someone who is constantly fighting the battle of letting things mess up my "schedule", I'm afraid I probably wouldn't...a personal weakness I am working at overcoming. A very good article - thanks for sharing.
