I didn't think it could happen in Utah but church was actually canceled today. Dave has been out shoveling for two hours, first our driveway and now he is helping the neighbors. Emma, Slade and Nathan all bundled up and went outside. Nathan lasted for about five minutes but Emma and Slade had lots of fun.

Emma said, "This is the best day. Well, maybe not the best because I can't play with friends but I am having so much fun!"

I understand. I have always loved snow days, the unexpected ones when everything is called off and all you can do is spend time at home with your family. It is good to go to church, but every once in a while...
I really like the picture of Emma with the bright red of the sled vs. the non-color of most of the picture.
That sled picture is cool.
I can't believe the snow from overnight/this morning. It is insane! I too love a snowed in day where all is canceled and with nothing else planned, you can just take it and run.
Ahhh! What a great day! Church cancelled! It's great to go to church, but those rare snow days when the cancel it or just as good!
Nope, I don't miss the snow...not one bit. It was a beautiful 61 degrees here today - that's MY kind of winter!!!!
Lucky!
I was hoping they would cancel ours, too, but no such luck. I am starting to feel like we live in Canada- we really do have an amazing amount of snow!
This snow is NUTS, but our ward was ON! The kids took advantage of it all afternoon, though! Cute pictures!
I tramped through the tundra to get to choir practice, but after that I went home and took to my bed (nothing Advil can't cure), while dh took the kids to church. I was hoping ours would be canceled, too. Such a nightmare out there!
I can only remember twice in my life when church was cancelled. Once when I was in elementary school and once right after I got married.
