I'm on a diet. A six week challenge if you will. No dairy. No sugar. No wheat. Lots and lots of vegetables, chicken, fish, and oats. In addition to oats, I've added quinoa to my nutritional repertoire. I like it. I do NOT like fish on the other hand. I have faltered and succumbed to temptation more than once but for the most part have stuck to it and I'm losing weight.

We put up rain gutter bookshelves in the basement hallway.

I'm taking a cake decorating class. It makes me feel totally uncoordinated.
Nathan has a toothpick shoved up inside his foot. Full story to follow soon.

Slade received his orange belt and has been begging to quit. I finally let him. I decided I just couldn't fight him about it twice a week. Am I a bad parent? Of course the karate people seem to think so.

I was not at Slade's belt graduation because I went on a date with my sister. We went to see Colin and Amy perform their pre-tour showcase. My date was exceptionally great. Love her. The show? Not so much. Except for Colin and Amy, of course.

Emma is trying to teach Anne how to walk. She will walk short distances on her own but definitely prefers crawling.

Random comments: Proud of you for losing weight. Especially knowing how your love ice cream! Sad that Slade gave up on karate. Wish I could see Anne's baby steps. I'm trying to relose the weight I regained. Fun that you are learning to decorate cakes, although you do so well on your own, do you really need to know how to make roses? Great shelves. They'll be a good place for kids to stash stuff. Sad to hear that the PAC show wasn't amazing since here is where they'll be touring. As for your blog - I've missed ya.
No wonder you haven't blogged--that's a lot of excitement in your house! Glad Nathan's foot is on the mend. Now my foot hurts just thinking about it. Love the bookshelves! Anne is so big--can't believe she's walking! And good for you for losing weight! It's no fun, is it? (I'm right there with ya!) I think you need a nap--whew!! :)
Your salad looks delicious. I should try your diet - I love fish, and quinoa.
Can you ask Dave to come up to Boise and install an exact replicate of those shelves in my house?
Oh, and I had to laugh at the mental image of your kids jumping all over the couches in the waiting room. Classic. Sorry about Nathan, though. I'm sure he'll tiptoe all over the place from here on out. Or not.
Love your shelves. Where did you get them?
