two

My baby turned two today. My dad and nephews were over yesterday to watch Conference and have dinner so we decided to begin the celebration with them. Since I didn't know what Sawyer would request for a birthday dinner, we had beef stew. He ate a lot so I guess it was a good choice. I made him a puppy cake because he likes to pretend to be a puppy. Anytime someone says, "Come here, boy", he gets down on his hands and knees and pants like a dog.


Isn't it so cute that he joined in the singing of Happy Birthday?


For presents, he got a wooden train set, Leap Frog fridge phonics, and lots and lots of Playdough.

Today started with toast cut into a 2 and then generally went on to be mostly an ordinary day with schoolwork, cleaning, violin lessons, dentist appointments (no cavities!) and such. Luckily, Sawyer is still oblivious to his special day and made no fuss.


We did end the day in celebratory fashion though with dinner at McDonald's and an FHE outing to the swimming pool.


He did ask several times to sing Happy Birthday tonight too.
